The final Prophet of God (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said,
“My entire nation is safe, except al-Mujahirin (those who boast of their sins).
Among the Mujaharah is that a man commits an (evil) act, and wakes up in the morning while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret, he says: “O so- and-so! Last night I did this and that.”
He goes to sleep while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret but he wakes up in the morning and uncovers what Allah has kept a secret!”

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallaahu `anhu) it is related that he once heard the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) say,
“What would you think if there were a river running by the door of the house of anyone of you, and he bathed in it 5 times a day, everyday, would any trace of dirt be left on him?”

Anas b. Malik (Radiyallaahu `anhu) reported Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Neither nurse mutual hatred, nor jealousy, nor enmity, and become as fellow brothers and servants of Allah. It is not lawful for a Muslim that he should keep his relations estranged with his brother beyond three days.”

Abu Hurairah (Radiyallaahu `anhu) reported Allah’s last Messenger (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Do you know what is backbiting?”
They (the Companions) said:
“Allah and His Messenger know best.”
Thereupon he (the Prophet) said:
“Backbiting implies your talking about your brother in a manner which he does not like.”
It was said to him:
“What is your opinion about this that if I actually find (that failing) in my brother which I made a mention of?”
He said:
“If (that failing) is actually found (in him) what you assert, you in fact backbited him, …

Shaddad and as-Sunabihi (Radiyallahu `anhuma) narrated that, Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Allah who is Great and Glorious says, ‘When I afflict a servant of Mine who is a believer and he praises Me, for the affliction I have brought upon him; he will rise from that couch of his as sinless as he was the day his mother gave birth to him.’
The Rabb, Who is Blessed and Exalted, will say, ‘I fettered and afflicted My servant, so record for him what you were recording for him …

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radiyallaahu `anhu), Allah’s Apostle (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Whoever says, ‘Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,’ one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.”

The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Every son of Adam makes mistakes, and the best of those who make mistakes are those who repent”
