Samura bin Jundab narrated, the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said in his narration of a dream that he saw,
“He whose head was being crushed with a stone was one who learnt the Quran but never acted on it, and slept ignoring the compulsory prayers.”

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (Radiyallaahu `anhu) Allah’s Apostle (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
”Whoever prays like us and faces our Quibla and eats our slaughtered animals is a Muslim and is under Allah’s and His Apostle’s protection. So do not betray Allah by betraying those who are in His protection.”

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallaahu `anhu) it is related that he once heard the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) say,
“What would you think if there were a river running by the door of the house of anyone of you, and he bathed in it 5 times a day, everyday, would any trace of dirt be left on him?”

A’isha, umm al-muminin (Radiyallaahu `anha) said,
“The Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) used to pray thirteen rakas in the night and then would pray two rakas when he heard the adhan for the morning prayer.”

It is reported on the authority of ‘Abdullah that the Apostle of Allah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) observed,
“The best of the deeds or deed is the (observance of) prayer at its proper time and kindness to the parents.”

“The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is bad, then the rest of his deeds will be bad”

“Allah will prepare for him who goes to the mosque (every) morning and in the afternoon (for the congregational prayer) an honorable place in Paradise with good hospitality for (what he has done) every morning and afternoon goings.”

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radiyallaahu `anhu),
“Once in the lifetime of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) the people were afflicted with drought (famine). While the Prophet was delivering the Khutba on a Friday, a Bedouin stood up and said, “O, Allah’s Apostle! Our possessions are being destroyed and the children are hungry; Please invoke Allah (for rain)”.
