Muadh ibn Jabal (Radiyallaahu `anhu) said, “The last advice the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) gave me when I put my foot in the stirrup was that he said,
“Make your character good for the people, Muadh ibn Jabal!””

Abdullah ibn Amr (Radiyallaahu `anhu) reported, The Prophet of Allah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.”

The Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“God did not send me to be harsh, or cause harm, but He sent me to teach and make things easy.”

Narrated by Jarir (Radiyallaahu `anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“He who is deprived of gentleness is deprived of good.”
