Umm `Atiyyah (Radiyallaahu `anha) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) commanded,
“Let the free women, the virgins, and the menstruating women go out to attend the ‘Eed prayer, and witness the goodness and the supplications of the believers. As for the mentruating women, they should stay away from [praying on] the musallaa.”

Narrated Al-Bara’ (Radiyallaahu `anhu): I heard the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) delivering a Khutba saying,
“The first thing to be done on this day (first day of ‘Id ul Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices (in the name of Allah) and whoever does so, he acted according to our Sunna (traditions).”
