The final Prophet of God(Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Whoever revives an aspect of my Sunnah that is forgotten after my death, he will have a reward equivalent to that of the people who follow him, without it detracting in the least from their reward.”

“The Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) used to pray thirteen rakas in the night and then would pray two rakas when he heard the adhan for the morning prayer.”

“Why do you do this, messenger of Allah, when Allah has forgiven you all your past and future wrong actions?”
He said,
“Do I not want to be a grateful slave?”
